My Vision

The world is going flat and the Internet is becoming the blood of our society. Staying at the edge of the technology innovations is my first interest and I believe that being always up to date and aware of the available tecnologies is the only path to success. Curiosity and passion describe myself and my approach to everything I do. That’s why I desire to be where the “new” is created and be part of his creation process, that’s why I like to be and I will always be where innovation borns.
I view myself as a technologist, an innovator and a synthesizer. I like solving problems, optimizing
processes and put beauty and elegance in the software and the architectures I design. More challenging is the project, more interesting is it to me.

Work experience

I have more than ten years of experience in designing, developing, integrating and managing complex solutions for Internet-based companies. I have a history of successfully using Open Source software to achieve company goals with an excellent ROI.

Interests

Recent work interests include: high performance distributed and fault tolerant systems based on the Erlang/OTP platform, highly dynamic web applications using AJAX and JS frameworks (YUI, JQuery), Comet streaming, social networks, web 2.0 information management like Wikis, document tagging, blogging platoforms development.

Design and implement large scale Internet application and systems. Build robust and scalable solutions for any kind of web based product.

Development skills: C/C++, Java, Perl, Ruby, PHP, Javascript, Erlang.

Database programming: MySQL, Oracle, MySQL replication and fault tolerance architectures.

Security and networking: IDS, firewalls, expecially on load balancing and performance optimization issues.

Familiar with a wide range of Open Source projects and operating systems (freebsd, linux, solaris), Apache.
