I’ve been googling the web looking for Java implementations of social networking functionality. I’m a bit disappointed that I couldn’t find more, but there are but a few. Well here’s what I’ve found so far

The lbpool project provides a load balancing JDBC driver for use with DB connection pools. It wraps a normal JDBC driver providing reconnect semantics in the event of additional hardware availability, partial system failure, or uneven load distribution.
